Ivy is a sweet, happy, playful girl. In true retriever style, she loves carrying her toys in her mouth. Her blanket is her favorite, but she’ll happily carry around other toys and balls as well. Ivy also LOVES pets. She’ll let you pet her for hours on end. On cool winter evenings, Ivy enjoys basking in front of the fire.

Before adding a dog to our breeding program, we delve into the pedigree, searching for longevity, health testing, health issues, etc. Ivy’s dad, Rocco, is a Junior and Senior Champion in his home country of Serbia. He has beautiful structure, which isn’t surprising since his parents, grandparents, and seven out of eight grandparents have all also earned champion titles. Structure is important and so is health. Both Rocco and Emma, Ivy’s mom, have passed hip, elbow, eye, and cardiac health testing. Likewise, Emma’s parents and grandparents all have passing OFA hip scores and cardiac screens (Rocco’s ancestors also received hip testing, but on the FCI & BVA scales since Rocco was born in Europe). With cancer being so prevalent among golden retrievers, we are happy that Rocco is 6 years old and in good health. We have met both of Ivy’s parents in person, and they are sweet, gorgeous dogs. We are thrilled that Ivy has such great genetics to match her amazing personality!
