Curly goldendoodle puppy to adult

Look at the wavy hair on the forehead of this sweet girl in her newborn picture. A puppy’s general coat type is evident from birth. By five weeks the curls look like cowlicks dispersed throughout her fluffy puppy coat. Notice how the roots of her coat are beginning to look kinky in her five month picture.  A goldendoodle’s adult coat usually begins coming in between five to six months of age. When the kinky adult coat begins to show at the base of the puppy coat, it’s time for the first haircut! Compare the puppy time lapse below with that of a puppy with loose curls,  full waves, and slightly wavy hair.
